These masks use off-cuts from Studio One Eighty Nine collections, made from skin-friendly cotton fabrics hand-batiked in Ghana. The masks have two layers, where you can insert a filter (sold separately), and adjustable ties.
Co-founded by Rosario Dawson and Abrima Erwiah, Studio One Eighty Nine is an artisan-produced fashion lifestyle brand and social enterprise that has recently won the prestigious CFDA Lexus Fashion Initiative for Sustainability. They collaborate with artisans in Ghana, the Cape Coast, Accra, and Tsatoe to preserve the ancient form of Batik.
Studio One Eighty Nine is the recipient of the 2020 National Design Award for Emerging Designer.
