Collection | Memphis Madness

In 1986, the first New York City exhibition of the Memphis Group’s work opened at Cooper Hewitt. Alongside the show, the collection of jewelry and accessories “Memphis Designers for ACME” debuted for sale in the SHOP.

Unconventional and kitsch, Memphis helped define post-modernism and created an aesthetic that has only grown in popularity 40 years after the group’s founding.
