Wild Meadow Hand Wash is part of a Method × Cooper Hewitt limited edition collection, celebrating pioneering Women in Design.
An important, yet overlooked figure in 20th century design, Ilonka Karasz (1896-1981) worked in a wide variety of media, including textiles, carpets, lighting, ceramics, metalwork, toys and furniture. She used a novel printing technique that preserved the expressivity of her drawings and is well known for her cover illustrations for The New Yorker magazine. Karasz helped popularize a modern aesthetic in the United States.
Karasz’s whimsical folk art print springs to life with a fresh and floral fragrance led by notes of wild violet.
The Calico Cow textile is in Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection.
