George Sowden’s colorful salt and pepper mills are made from stainless steel and feature a ceramic grinder that enables you to adjust the size and coarseness of the salt or pepper grain.
George Sowden (b. 1942) is a British designer with a background in architecture. In the 1970s, Sowden moved to Milan to work with names such as Ettore Sottsass and Olivetti, and in the 1980s he became one of the founders of the design movement Memphis Group. In 2010, Sowden developed the popular SoftBrew brewing device for coffee and tea. He has won numerous design prizes including the prestigious Compasso d'Oro Award.
