Ettore Sottsass was an Italian architect and designer during the 20th century. His body of work included furniture, jewelry, glass, lighting, home objects, and office machine design, as well as many buildings and interiors. He is also well known as the founder of the 1980s Memphis Group movement.
The 5009/11 Sottsass Glass Coaster Set of 6 has been in production since 1979 and remains one of the oldest products in the Alessi catalog. Crafted from matte stainless steel and finished with a mirror-polished edge, the coasters feature a polka-dot pattern for anti-suction.
