The Edcouch-Else Fine Arts Center was designed by Muñoz and Company architects for the Edcouch-Elsa Independent School District in Edcouch, Texas. The designers situated this new civic space above a highway to become a point of pride for the community. Its form and vibrancy were inspired by the high school's fight song or corrido—a narrative musical form used for generations in Latinx culture.
This project was featured in the 2017 exhibition By the People: Designing a Better America.
