Wear a glimmer of nacre and the blue of the sea with these minimal, luminous artifacts from the ocean floor. The Abalone collection by Cyril Studio draws from Land Art of the 60s and 70s. Graphic pools of nacre are isolated and elevated. From the front they're deceivingly simple, appearing as a gleaming sliver of silver. Tilt your head just slightly to reveal a luminous window to the sea.
Cyril Studio was founded in 2017 by Leila Du Mond, an award-winning artist and designer. She is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology.
Leila creates sacred objects in light, stone, and precious metals. She works reductively, excavating material and responding to surfacing forms. Her work is an intuitive response to site, material, and sensation.
