Church Bell Gold is part of SALAKAUPPA's Secrets of Russia collection. The hand-painted bell is onion-shaped, made of light-weight linden wood and decorated with an interlocking net of black lines resembling chain mail. Contains a small rod and coin. The Secrets of Russia collection began when designers Aamu Song and Johan Olin set on a journey to explore Russian manufacturing secrets. The travels, which took them from Moscow to the Urals, into Siberia, and to the Caucasus, resulted in collaboration with tens of traditional manufacturers. After each factory visit, they designed new products based on the traditions they observed there.
SALA means secret and KAUPPA means to shop.
All of the products in SALAKAUPPA are designed by Aamu Song & Johan Olin of COMPANY and are the result of excursions to very exciting, yet old fashioned, factories around Finland and sometimes around the world. COMPANY's designs are purely based on each factory's story and function.
