Tetrapods are huge four-legged cement blocks that line Japan's Pacific coast as a tsunami tidal wave defense. Considered an eyesore by many, for designer Mirai Tamura they were the inspiration for a brilliantly original drawing instrument: the Tetra Crayons are easy to grip and allow you to draw smoothly with any of the arms. Available in packs of six, the crayons can be stacked up like vibrant ornaments of miniature sculptures.
