Oswald Haerdtl's (Austrian, 1899-1959) candy dish design, first presented at the 1925 Exposition des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, is widely recognized as a masterpiece of early modernity. The incredibly thin bowl and elegant handle inspire a delicate, almost purposefully slow interaction not common in our relationship with today's material goods.
