The celery tray, also known as the relish tray, may have gone the way of rotary phones, black & white TV’s and eight track cassettes, but the organic lines of this Russel Wright design just might bring it back.

Relish trays featuring items such as crackers, carrots, pickles, radishes, and celery were typically served at the beginning of a meal throughout the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s, but there is no reason why this beautiful serving tray can’t be updated with bruschetta, pate or sushi.

Originally created in 1939 by Russell Wright, American Modern™ is this country's original, and most popular, entry in the modern style of dinnerware. It has recently been re-released by the Bauer Pottery company under the guidance of the Russel Wright Design Center. The initial line consists of the most popular original pieces including serving platters and serving bowls, dishes, bowls, tea set coffee mug. The mix-and-match colors have been carefully matched to the original colors chosen by Russel Wright for their food presentation, drama and bold modern flair.
